A short perspective of New Zealand culture

Having been in New Zealand for rather a long time, I qualify as an expert observer on all things Kiwi.

Take sheep, for instance: New Zealand isn’t known for anything else, thanks to indelible Aussie jokes about the land of the wrong white crowd where men are men and sheep are nervous. That’s silly, of course. We take great care of our sheep. I mean, look at this:

Nappied and bottle fed lamb

Warms the cockles of your cold intarweb hearts, doesn’t it?

Music here tends to be quite direct, so that you know what you get. One very popular musical group at the moment is Shitripper.

They are called that because when they play and you hear them sing, that is the exact activity you are subjected to. For that reason, I have never been tempted to go to a Brick Vs Face gig.

That’s all for today. Thank you.
